In October 2013 I traveled to Haida Gwaii. Once there I collected
materials to build a kite with. At Agate Beach on the North of the
island I constructed the kite and attempted to fly it. Agate Beach
faces what's called the Dixon Entrance. The entrance into the often
stormy body of water called Hecate Strait. The same body of water that
would see a large increase in oil tanker traffic if the new tar sands
pipeline gets built.
